Everyone's story is powerful. Every message is valuable. Every tear irrigates a powerful seed for a new blessing. My purpose for creating this donation page and for sharing our beloved Father's story has one reason; to bring peace and comfort to someone else. To the memories of so many others who have lost their battles perhaps without the resources or the help they needed. More profoundly, keeping in mind and very close to my heart those who are currently fighting so they can receive the treatment they need on time. All because You matter, we all matter! 

As you read this, I will like for you to know there is a support system that may not be visible to you; it is the divine connection through the power of our prayers. Sharing positive thoughts no matter who and where you may be provide support. I will like to tell others "you are not alone." My discovery is that healing comes in many forms. As unbearable as pain may seem, as difficult or horrific as our experiences may be, and even when death is imminent, they become the pillars for others to support themselves from when we genuinely tell our story. In difficult situations, one have to agree that having the proper support system helps us to overcome the pain as we move about in the midst of the circumstances.

I realized that telling our story can uplift so many in similar situations. Beyond our own personal feelings of hurt, sorrow, helplessness and weakness, there is something far greater that can bring healing to others. It is the power of our stories. My family and I watched Dad as he battled. In the natural, we often began to questioned many things; why, what and how which were never answered. Instead, we embraced the process with a divine perspective. Trusting God and knowing He had everything in control. That meant He would guide doctors, personnel and the family for next steps. Indeed, God helped us keep it all together to provide Dad's comfort for as long as God determined.   
 
Dad was diagnosed with two horrible diseases; a form of Cancer called MDS-Myelodysplastic Syndrome. The second intruder, Liver Cirrhosis with Ascites (accumulation of fluid) in the abdominal cavity due to liver malfunction. Not only Dad didn't fit the profile for having liver disease, but he couldn't receive any type of treatment due to many factors; age, having a pre-existing condition and the increase risk of infection. He was only a candidate for comfort measures. These included a frequent surgical procedure to drain the fluid out of the abdominal cavity while stabilizing the blood disorder with transfusions and medications. Dad fought both for 18 months, which ultimately took his earthly life gaining his eternal life. 

Thus, the purpose to donate to these agencies is to help with research and to allow people to have the resources they need to be treated on time. So they can have a chance at life. Your donation, your positive words, a prayer or an embrace, can bring comfort, peace and healing to those in need.
